Sciatica / Back Pain

Back pain can come in many forms, it could be dull and constant, a burning sensation, tightness, numbness / tingling, sharp pain, or pressure as if a large ball was lodged in the area. It can be acute (often due to a recent injury) or chronic pain (that's been around for months or years).
Neck/Back/Sciatic pain can affect mobility, range of motion, sleep, emotions and stress levels. It can start in one place and migrate, radiate or intensify. Some pain is alleviated by warmth and rest, while others require gentle movement and strengthening.
With so many variables in where and how we experience pain, it is important to identify its root cause in order to treat it effectively. During the initial intake we explore all symptoms your body is presenting beyond the pain and delve into your health history so we can develop a clear treatment plan.
By the end of the intake you will have a firm understanding of how TCM views your pain, a treatment plan, and what you can do at home to relieve or prevent further pain.
