Krisztina - My personal health journey

I know what it's like to be in constant pain. I was living it for a long time. I sat in a car 3 hours a day to and from work, then sat at a desk for another 8 hours. Staring at a computer, phone held between my shoulder and ear, typing away frantically day in and day out, for several years. Over time I developed tension, first in my shoulders, then neck, soon followed by headaches and backpain. I was in constant pain from the moment I woke up to the time I crawled into bed. Additionally I was diagnosed with Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) that left me bed-ridden 1-2 days a month. When my employment was being threatened by my monthly absenteeism, explaining my absence from work to my male boss was the most humiliating experience. I felt like I had to plea for mercy and justify my existence just because I had period problems.
Afraid of the side effects of medications, I only took them when the pain was unbearable. I started to feel depressed about how poorly I felt and struggled to get through the day. The constant feeling of hopelessness pushed me to look for answers. Everything I tried was a band-aid solution. After hearing my friend getting great results for her pain with Acupuncture, I decided to give it a try. I thought: if it worked for her, why wouldn't it work for me? And it did! Little by little my pain lessened and my periods became almost pleasant and I felt great.
Having experienced such great results, I was amazed and wanted to learn how Acupuncture worked. So when it came time to make a career change, it was a no-brainer. I always wanted to help people, to be of service and make a difference in people's lives, so I went back to school to become an Acupuncturist.
Today I rejoice with just about every patient visit that comes through my doors, because almost every single one leaves relieved. Some with emotional relief, some with pain relief, and my happiest day is when I discharge my patient, knowing they are well and can now live their life to the fullest.
My Education
After completing a 3-year Advanced Diploma at Georgian College, and writing the Ontario Board Exams I am proud to be a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). With several years of experience working as an acupuncturist in various clinical settings, I have been offering Acupuncture services from my home in Barrie. With the growing demand for natural health care option, my client base has expanded so much that I had to start growing a team and thus have Ankita and Sarah to join our team, and we are now looking for other heart-centered and results-oriented therapists to join our team in any complementary medicine area, so we can all grow together.
